UNSC holds closed-door consultations amid escalating India-Pakistan tensions

The United Nations Security Council convened closed-door consultations on Monday to address the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, following a request from Pakistan. Secretary-General António Guterres expressed deep concern over the deteriorating relations, particularly after the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the loss of 26 civilian lives.
