Obtaining bail is a right, monk's plea must be heard, religious heads tell Yunus

Minority religious leaders in Bangladesh have appealed to interim government chief adviser Muhammad Yunus to consider the bail plea of Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, facing sedition charges. A bail hearing is rescheduled for January 2nd. Two individuals were remanded in Chittagong concerning the death of Saiful Islam Alif, who died in clashes following the denial of Das's bail.
