Life term for ex-DSP, 2 cops in ’92 fake encounter case

A CBI court sentenced three Punjab police officers, including former DSP Gurbachan Singh, to life imprisonment for the 1992 fake encounter killing of two other police personnel. The court found them guilty under various IPC sections and imposed fines totaling up to Rs 3 lakh each for their roles in the crime.
