Myanmar man got 6-month sentence, in jail 12 years later

A Myanmar citizen detained since 2012 after crossing the border and serving six months' imprisonment remains in a Manipur detention center. The Supreme Court is reviewing his plea for release, noting that Canada has accepted him as a refugee. The court has requested the Indian government's response on this matter.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
