Actor Darshan seen chilling out in Bengaluru jail, 9 staff suspended

The Karnataka government suspended nine prison officials after photos emerged of actor Darshan, in judicial custody for murder, smoking and socialising with notorious rowdies in Bengaluru Central Prison. A video also showed Darshan making a call from prison. The suspended officials include chief and assistant superintendents. Investigations are ongoing to probe these irregularities further.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
