‘Hot summer ahead, March may be mild’

Summer during March-May is most likely to be hotter in India with India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday predicting “above normal” maximum and minimum temperatures over most parts of the country during the three-month period. As far as February is concerned, the month had the second warmest night (minimum temperature) since 1901.
