FPIs invest nearly Rs 20,000 crore in debt in Jan, over 6-year high

In January, foreign portfolio investors poured more than Rs 19,800 crore into India's debt market, marking the highest monthly inflow in over six years. This surge can be attributed to the inclusion of Indian government bonds in the JP Morgan Index. FPIs pulled out Indian equities worth Rs 25,743 crore last month owing to surging bond yield in the US.
