Axis Bank open to partnering with Paytm for new business: CEO

Axis Bank is in negotiations with Paytm about cross-business cooperation opportunities. The bank, which previously collaborated with Paytm, is now exploring new areas of partnership following the RBI's move against Paytm Payments Bank in January. Besides backend support for UPI, there are number of areas where Paytm Payments Bank is seeking support including Fastag, transit card and wallet.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
