IRS officer who said FM should be sacked is now suspended

A month after a serving Indian Revenue Service (IRS) official from Chennai wrote to President Draupadi Murmu seeking dismissal of Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, he was placed under suspension on Tuesday. He is scheduled to retire a day later, on Wednesday.B Balamurugan wrote to the President after the Enforcement Directorate issued summons to two elderly farmers on charges of money-laundering.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
