US state blocks Trump from its presidential primary

Maine and Colorado block Donald Trump from their Republican primaries due to his involvement in the January 2021 assault on the US Capitol. The rulings, which invoke the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution, disqualify anyone engaged in insurrection from holding office.
