Sonia, Kharge invited to January 22 Ayodhya Ram temple event

The Ram Mandir Trust has invited Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Sonia Gandhi for the Ram temple consecration at Ayodhya on January 22. Sources said Ram Mandir Construction Committee chairman Nripendra Mishra met Kharge on Tuesday and extended the invite. He is also learnt to have personally delivered the invite to Sonia Gandhi. The invites were accepted during meetings on Tuesday, for which an appointment was sought in advance by Mishra, sources said. They were also informed that an invite was also "being delivered" to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
