SDM, MLA ordered razing of resort: Bulldozer driver

The driver of a bulldozer testified in court that the local SDM and MLA instructed him to demolish parts of a resort in Rishikesh after the discovery of a receptionist's body. The driver revealed that the SDM ordered the removal of the main gate and boundary wall, while the MLA instructed the demolition of two rooms. The driver clarified that he received no written orders from the MLA. The swift demolition was seen as an attempt to tamper with evidence, according to the prosecution lawyer.
