HC judgment on maintainability of Gyanvapi temple suit today

The Allahabad High Court is set to deliver its judgment on Tuesday regarding the five petitions filed by Anjuman Intezamia Masajid (AIM) and others. These petitions challenge the maintainability of a civil suit currently pending before a Varanasi court. The suit seeks the restoration of a temple at the site where the Gyanvapi mosque stands. Additionally, the petition challenges a direction issued by the Varanasi court on April 8, 2021, which called for a comprehensive survey of the Gyanvapi complex.
