Amit Shah slams opposition for criminal law debate ‘boycott’

Union home minister Amit Shah condemned opposition parties on Friday for “boycotting” the parliamentary discussion on three criminal justice laws. “Instead of discussing these key legislations, they were busy mimicking constitutional posts,” said Shah. “As a legislator, I was piloting the Bill in Parliament. I wanted the opposition to present its views and suggestions on the Bills. But, unfortunately, they decided to boycott the discussion by making excuses,” said Shah. He was speaking at the at the Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology (CCET).
