Assam Congress MLA held for 'hate speech' against priests

Congress MLA Aftab Uddin Mollah from Assam's Goalpara constituency has been arrested for allegedly making a hate speech targeting Hindu priests and namgharias. Mollah had linked temple priests and namgharias with criminal activities, claiming that Muslims were being blamed for crimes actually committed by Hindus. The speech was circulated on social media, leading to an FIR against him. Police have arrested Mollah on charges of promoting enmity between religious groups and fomenting hatred.
