20-25% rise in ad spend: WC run drives cos into power play

As India reaches the ICC World Cup finals, marketing and advertising spending is projected to increase by 20-25% from October to March. Brands are targeting popular cricketers like Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, Rohit Sharma, and Bumrah. Maruti Suzuki has invested heavily in advertising for the final match, while Disney Star is selling ad inventory for the finals at a higher rate than usual. Maruti Suzuki is among the companies that have ramped up advertising for the final match.
