How can overqualification be a disqualification, wonders HC

The Telangana high court is faced with a dilemma regarding whether a person can be disqualified from a job application for having a higher educational degree than what is required. The issue arose when a woman applied for the position of an office subordinate but was not called for an interview because she had appeared for intermediate and degree exams. The court has directed the authorities to call her for an interview and is considering the fairness of rejecting someone based on their higher qualifications.
