Govt to counter China dam with Siang barrage: Arunachal CM

Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu on Wednesday informed the assembly that the Centre has proposed to construct a large barrage on Siang river in the state to keep it "alive" in view of the potential threats from a huge dam on Yarlung Tsangpo river (upstream of Siang) being built by China in neighbouring Tibet region.
