Bihar hooch victims’ kin to get relief even without autopsy: Govt

The Bihar government will provide compensation to hooch victims even if there is no postmortem report but substantial evidence about the death due to consumption of spurious liquor, reports Kshitiz Singh. Around 190 hooch deaths have been identified and compensation of Rs 4 lakh each has already been given to the kin of 30-32 victims in East Champaran and Saran districts, said prohibition, excise and registration department minister Sunil Kumar on Wednesday.
