Galwan hero’s wife Army officer now, posted in LAC

The Army inducted its first batch of five women officers into its combat-support arm Regiment of Artillery on Saturday, while Rekha Singh, wife of Naik Deepak Singh who was killed in the Galwan Valley clashes of 2020, became a Lieutenant and was posted to a frontline base along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
