Mughals seized Jalalabad fort from Hindu kings, rename it: Plea to UP CM

The Jalalabad fort in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli, currently in possession of sitting RLD MLA from Thanabhawan Ashraf Ali, whose family has been residing there for "centuries", is caught in a battle that's brewing over it. On Saturday, Manhar Khera Durg Kalyan Samiti secretary Bhanu Pratap Singh, along with dozens of members, met SDM Nitika Sharma and submitted an application to chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
