Man harasses girl with songs, gets 1-year jail

A 43-year-old man has been convicted and sentenced to 1 year in jail for sexually harassing his 16-year-old neighbour by singing "chehra tera noorani hai" (your face is luminous) and repeatedly attempting personal interaction with her despite her clear indication of disinterest in him. He had also slapped the girl when she was on her way to police station with her mother to file a complaint in 2017.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
