Poachgate: HC transfers case to CBI, quashes SIT

In a setback to the state government, the Telangana high court transferred the Poachgate probe on Monday from the state’s special investigation team to the CBI. The court, while ordering disbanding of the SIT as well as quashing its probe so far, expressed displeasure over chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao making initial evidence public at a press conference.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
