Quotas can’t be for ever, need to fix time limit: Supreme Court

While allowing one more form of reservation on the basis of economic status of people from the General category, the Supreme Court on Monday emphasised that the quota system should not be allowed to go on for an indefinite period and a time-limit be fixed on it to pave the way for a casteless and classless society.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
