CBI chargesheets Lalu Prasad Yadav, kin in ‘land-for-job scam’

The CBI on Friday filed a chargesheet against RJD chief and former railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and daughter Misa Bharti in connection with the alleged “land-for-job” scam. In all, the agency has chargesheeted 16 people including two former senior railway officials and seven candidates who allegedly “sold” their land to Yadav and his family in lieu of jobs.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
