Retail price of atta rises by 19%, rice by 8% in 1 year

The average retail prices of rice, wheat and atta have increased by 8-19% in the past one year, according to the government data. The maximum increase has been in the case of atta (wheat flour) prices. On Thursday, the retail price of atta was Rs 36.2 per kg, which is an increase of around 19% from last year.
