Curious case of IT raid in a slum office & Rs 90 cr in donations

The Income Tax department conducted raids at 100 locations related to these Registered unrecognised political parties (RUPP). One of them is the Janatawadi Congress party located in Mumbai's Chunabhatti. The IT department found out that the party has received Rs 90 crore in donations. The national president of the Janatawadi Congress Party confirmed that the party had received Rs 91 crore in donations and claimed the party had spent all the money on party work and has called the raids politically motivated.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
