3 more Cong state units back Rahul for chief’s post, total now 11

The Congress units in Odisha, Jharkhand and Haryana on Tuesday passed resolutions backing Rahul Gandhi for the post of party president, joining at least eight other PCCs which have rooted for him. Besides the three PCCs which backed Rahul, party units in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Gujarat, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and J&K have already thrown in their lot behind the Wayanad MP while the Kerala and Telangana units are expected to follow suit in the next few days.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
