Ties with Gulf not hit over Prophet remark, Govt tells Parliament

Denying that the recent row over remarks against Prophet Muhammad by a now-suspended BJP spokesperson had hurt India’s ties with the Arab world, the government told Parliament on Thursday that it had explained its position on the issue to the Arab governments and they had duly recognised it.
