Panel examining raising women’s marriage age gets 3-month extension

The parliamentary standing committee scrutinising the proposed amendment to the law to raise the legal age of marriage for women from 18 to 21 years has been given yet another extension to submit its report. The deadline for presentation of the report that was extended in June till July 24 has been further extended for three months till October 24.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
