SC nixes Maha govt bid to oust CBI from Deshmukh case

In another setback to the Maharashtra government, the Supreme Court on Friday dismissed its plea seeking that probe against its former home minister Anil Deshmukh be taken away from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and handed over to a special investigation team for a court-monitored probe.
