TN urban local body polls live: Counting of votes under way

Counting of votes for urban local body polls in Tamil Nadu is under way. The vote counting for all the 200 wards is being held at 15 counting centres. Every ward’s result will be announced through the microphone and also displayed. At all counting centres, IAS officials will be present observing the process along with police security and CCTV cameras. The new council with 200 councillors will meet on March 2 and the mayor and deputy mayor elected on March 4. Stay with TOI for all the latest updates:

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
