Over 700 tourists stuck in Manali snow rescued

Hundreds of tourists stranded at different places in Manali area following snowfall on Sunday evening were rescued by police between 7pm and 3am on Monday with the help of locals. Many of them had to leave their vehicles and were transferred to their hotels in four-wheeldrive vehicles. Others were provided shelter by local people.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
