TN rain live: Holiday for schools declared in 27 districts

In view of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, a holiday for schools has been declared in 27 districts including Chennai, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Ramanathapuram, Tirunelveli, Thanjavur, Madurai Thiruvannamalai. The IMD has forecast thunderstorms with heavy rain over some areas of Chennai and suburbs for the next 24 hours.
