In photos: TN schools reopen for classes 1 to 8

Schools in Tamil Nadu reopened after 19 months for classes 1 to 8. While some students were happy to reunite with their friends, the younger batch seemed rather reluctant to leave the comfort of their homes. Have a look:

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has ruled that apprehending armed militants qualifies as an "encounter" for reservation benefits for police personnel's children.
