Crack down on ganja: Hyderabad cops breach privacy, check commuters’ mobiles

In a bizarre attempt to crack down on ganja users and peddlers in the city, Hyderabad policemen teamed up with excise officials on Thursday and randomly checked mobile phones of commuters in Dhoolpet. The area has in the past been infamous for sale of narcotics.

HC: Treat arrest, even without exchange of fire, as encounter
